In making this item we have discovered two different rear hatch glass shapes. The first mould we did produced a piece which was a perfect hand in glove fit, but only on certain screens. We decided to dig a bit further and found a different curved screen where the piece was not a satisfactory fit to our standards.

There wouldn’t have been any point in making two different moulds, as the variation in screens does not seem to follow any pattern. After careful consideration and many adjustments, we are now able to offer a product which is essentially a half way house.

Whilst it’s not a perfect fit on any one screen, it is a very good fit on all screens. To most, the fit may not look like an issue and can easily be made to be a perfect fit with some strategic taping while curing.

This can be used in conjunction with the rear wiper although will obstruct the washer jet.

This item is available in fibreglass, with black or white polished gel coat finish and is of a high quality.
